SISFU is delighted to announce that our Hospitality partner university, The Adelaide based International College of Hotel Management (ICHM) has been named the best hotel and hospitality school in Australia for the quality of its student experience according to the leading national Student Experience Survey (SES). In the five core focus areas, ICHM outperformed every other hotel school in Australia. ICHM also exceeded all other hotel schools when it came to the quality of the entire educational experience. ICHM Chief Executive, Gerald Lipman says, “I am delighted but not surprised by the Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) results.
“The survey shows students believe ICHM has the highest teaching standards of all of Australia’s hotel schools, coupled with outstanding facilities."
“ICHM also delivers excellent career prospects with 95% of students securing jobs in the industry immediately after graduation."
“The latest QILT results combined with graduate outcomes show ICHM continues to be Australia’s Best Hotel School,” Mr. Lipman says.
About the Survey:
- For Teaching Quality, ICHM scored 86.1 and ranked 20th across the sector, with only two universities better performers. For Student Support ICHM scored 85.5, with again only two universities ranked more highly.
- The SES is conducted each year by the Social Research Centre and uploaded to the Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) website. It is the only comprehensive survey of current higher education students in Australia and managed by the Australian Government.
- All 41 Australian universities and 66 Non-University Higher Education Institutions (NUHEIs) participated in the 2018 national survey.
- Around 194,000 undergraduate students and 89,000 postgraduate coursework students from Australian universities and non-university higher education institutions (NUHEIs) participated in the 2018 survey.
We look forward to hearing from you!
